The skeleton was probably one of my more succesful project this semester because it was the easiest thing we did. My favorite type of art is drawing, and this being the only type of project that had to do with drawing where we didn't have to do shading and add value. I think that this skeleton turned out pretty good too. This project was also one of my favorite things to do in the class just because of the simplicity of it. Doing this skeleton wasn't all easy. I had to try to incorporate the anatomy of the human skeleton into a cartoon duck. That wasn't very easy. This project was really good to get us in the feel of art 1.
2. Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from?
My landscape painting was the project that I think I leared the most from this semester. This is the first actual painting I've ever done. I have painted clothes, pottery, wood, and many other things, but this is my fist painting on a canvas. I learned how to blend colors succesfully and create value with paint. This painting didn't turn out very good, but it was still the project that I learned the most in doing. I found it hard to add detail to the painting, so I guess I'm a loose painter. I learned the most things to do with art while doing this project.
3. Choose 1 piece of art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects. Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills.
My print project used a few skills from other projects. It used the ability to use an exacto knife from the stencil project. The print making project was fun because you got to use something to make something different over and over again. This project really didn't use that many different techniques from other projects but I'm saving my tile for another question. I really don't know what else to say about this project. This project used some other techniques from other projects.
4. Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in this course?
